My pictures and videos are one of a kind, how do I know they will be safe?
The first step is to ship your items with a reputable delivery service such as UPS or FedEx that offers insurance. Once your items arrive at our studio, we have established procedures in place for the careful handling. We also insure your items when we ship them back to you.
Any photos you provide will be backed up on a CD disc that you can keep in a safe place to always have a an extra copy.
Additionally, if you have a scanner and a CD burner, you can scan the items yourself and send us a digital copy. This will also lower your cost as we won't need to scan the items for you.
Do I need to worry about copy written music?
While most music has a copyright, fair use laws allow you to use music you have legally purchased for personal use. To add clips to your project, simply supply us with a CD or cassette tape of music you legally own to add to your compilation. If you do not have a legal copy, we can buy a digital copy online for you -- most single song clips can be purchased for as little as 99 cents.
Why should I convert my VHS videos to DVD?
VHS tapes degrade over time, and lose quality on every playback. VHS tapes have a shelf life of about 10 years while DVDs can last 100 years or more.
DVDs offer several advantages to VHS tapes. Like CDs, DVDs do not require rewinding, and have the ability to jump to any point on the disc. Additionally, DVDs offer fancy menu systems, enhancing the quality and professional feel of the disc. Scene selections can be added to create "chapters" so that you can view one clip without watching the whole video.
Can my custom DVD play on a television or computer?
It is safe to say that if you are able to play any DVDs made since 1997 on your DVD player or computer, you will be able to play the discs we create for you.
I have many hours of video, can you create a condensed version?
Yes, our technology allows us to edit the video to your specifications.
How long will it take you to complete my project?
This depends upon the type of services you require and the complexity of the project. Video montages can often be created within 1 week upon receipt of materials. VHS to DVD conversions can often be turned around in a 2-3 business days if no editing is required.
